Disinfecting the Ciudad Deportiva
To combat the global COVID-19 breakout, Valencia CF reacted early to adopt a series of safety and hygiene measures at all of the club's facilities. This prevention protocol has modified some of the daily routines at the Ciudad Deportiva, and disinfection has become a fundamental element of proceedings.
At around 6am each morning, hours before the first players and coaching staff members arrive, the facilities are disinfected through surface cleaning, with all machines used the day before labelled with signs. In addition to this daily process, once a week all areas used by the first team are spray cleaned.
This week, with the team in the fourth phase of the protocol established by LaLiga and approved by the CSD and the Ministry of Health, the players can now use the dressing rooms again -respecting social distancing requirements of three metres between them. This means that the five rooms in the main building of the Ciudad Deportiva are also meticulously cleaned every day, as well as the interview areas after each use. The club have also provided extra sanitiser gel dispenser points throughout the facility.
